OK, so maybe I'm a little late to the game on this, but I thought it would be nice to let everyone know they can get customized H.O.G.® plates for their bike (and car!).

New York State has quite a few custom symbols that are available for vehicle plates. If you go online to you can view the different plates they have for many organizations. H.O.G.® custom plates are here.

If you've checked, and decided you want one, here are the fees:

Initial (DMV assigned number) $35.00
Annual Renewal (DMV assigned number) $18.75 $17.50 $36.25
Initial (Personally requested number) $53.75
Annual Renewal (Personally requested number) $37.50 $17.50 $55.00

These annual renewal fees are in addition to your standard motorcycle renewal fee, so your annual renewal cost for a motorcycle with H.O.G® plates and DMV assigned numbers would be $17.50 + 18.75 = $36.25. If you decided to use personal numbers (or letters), your annual renewal cost would be $17.50 + 37.50 = $55.00. Custom plates are billed using a fixed expiration date of April 30 each year.

There are two caveats when ordering these types of plates - they can only be ordered via US Mail (not online, and not at your local DMV) You will need to fill out an Application for Custom Plates (CP30) online, and you will need to enclose a copy of your current H.O.G.® membership card.

Mail the completed form, the copy of your membership card, and your payment to:
